INHS Sanjivani

History and Role

INHS Sanjivani had a humble beginning as MI Room of HMIS Venduruthy on 23 Jun 1943 which was upgraded to a 75 bedded Sickbay on 03 Oct 1953. INHS Sanjivani was commissioned on 08 Mar 1958. The hospital has been augmented from time to time and today it has a sanction of 333 beds including 12 beds for the Indian Coast Guard. Many specialist facilities have been added over these years.
