Flood relief - On 19 Sep 1998 a medical team was sent to Samastipur, Bihar for flood relief. On 01 Nov 1999 a medical team was airlifted to Orissa for the same purpose. In each of these cases several hundred patients were attended to on a daily basis. Medical facilities were extended to remote areas where medical aid was not available.
Earthquake relief - In Jan 2001, medical teams were sent to Gujarat for emergency medical treatment of earthquake victims.
Tsunami relief - INHS Sanjivani participated in a big way in Tsunami relief efforts of Dec 2004 both locally and abroad. The hospital dispatched numerous medical teams for disaster relief in Kerala and Sri Lanka. First foreign relief team to set foot on Sri Lanka was from INHS Sanjivani. A surgical team from the hospital also won laurels by establishing a working surgical setup in a hospital abandoned by local medical staff.
