23 Rd IN – USN Executive Steering Group (ESG) Meeting

23rd IN-USN Executive Steering Group (ESG) Meeting was held at New Delhi from 07 to 09 March 2022. The meeting was co-chaired by Vice Admiral Karl Thomas, Commander US 7th Fleet and Vice Admiral Ravneet Singh, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff, Indian Navy. Rear Admiral Sean Bailey, Deputy Commander NAVCENT/ C5F also attended the meeting. The event witnessed active participation from Indian Navy and US Navy including OP NAV, C5F and C6F representatives. Major issues discussed included Maritime Operations, information exchange and training. Both sides also acknowledged the growing cooperation between the two Navies amid emerging challenges on the maritime front, and agreed to enhance collaboration and interoperability towards ensuring maritime security in the IOR.
