Beach Cleanup Drive Observed by Indian Navy

Eastern Naval Command undertook Beach Cleanup Drive at RK Beach and Bheemili Beach as part of Navy Day 2020 Celebrations on 05 Dec 20.  The event was aimed at the navy’s reach out to the local populace and spread the message of social belongingness and responsibility towards protection and commitment for a clean and plastic free coastline.

Over 300 naval personnel including Defence Civilians from INS Circars, INS Dega, INS Ekshila, INS Vishwakarma, Ship Building Centre, and Materials Organisation carried out the cleanup drive from beaches from Gokul park area till Kursura Museum and over 250 naval personnel and Defence Civilians from INS Kalinga, INS Karna, and NAD Bheemilipatnam undertook beach cleanup at Bheemili beachfront.  The event was conducted while strictly adhering to the COVID-19 protocols by Naval personnel.
