Inter-Divisional Whaler Boat Pulling Regatta and Chilka Lake Swimming Competition Conducted at INS Chilka, Odisha

Inter-Divisional Whaler Boat Pulling Regatta and Lake swimming competition for trainees of Batch 01/2019 was conducted at INS Chilka from 07 to 08 June 2019. The competitions aimed to inculcate a spirit of adventure, watermanship skills, develop mental and physical strength, endurance and to foster healthy competition and team spirit. 10 teams, one each from the 10 trainee Divisions, along with four teams from ship's company competed for the 'Best Whaler' title. Ashok Division emerged as the winner of Whaler Boat Pulling Regatta and was awarded the coveted 'Cock', while Azad Division was adjudged Runners Up. 167 trainees participated in the three kms Chilka Lake Swimming Competition. Sradh SP, SSR of Azad Division won the Gold Medal, while Prashant Khot, SSR of Ashok Division was adjudged Runner Up. Executive Officer, INS Chilka presented awards to winners.
