Maiden Indigenisation Course for Air Technical Sailors Conducted at NIAT, Kochi

15 sailors of Naval Aviation participated in the maiden two-week Indigenisation Course conducted at Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology (NIAT) from 22 October to 03 November 2018. The course comprised guest speakers from Naval Headquarters, other naval agencies and civilian officers from the Directorate of General Quality Assurance and Centre for Military Airworthiness and Certification. The course included a two-day visit to HAL (Composite Division) and Wipro3D, Bengaluru, wherein the sailors interacted with industry representatives and witnessed state-of-the-art facilities. The course was aimed at creating a pool of trained and experienced Air Technical sailors, who would be able to contribute towards indigenisation. Director NIAT presided over the valedictory function and awarded course certificates to the participants.
