RAdm Rahul Vilas Gokhale, NM Takes Over as Flag Officer Sea Training

Rear Admiral Rahul Vilas Gokhale, NM assumed the charge of Flag Officer Sea Training on 01 May 2022. He is an alumnus of the National Defence Academy and was commissioned into the Indian Navy on 01 January 1992. Consequent to his qualification as a Navigation and Direction specialist, he has tenanted assignments as Navigating Officer of IN Ships Subhadra, Udaygiri, Kirch (as commissioning crew), Gomati and Delhi. His other tenures at sea include those as Executive Officer of INS Kora, Command of INS Khukri and INS Kolkata. He has also held the appointment of the Fleet Operations Officer of Eastern Fleet. His staff assignments include tenures as Joint Director of Naval Plans, Director of Foreign Co-operation, and as Director in the Directorate of Personnel. He has served at the Indian High Commission at Islamabad, as the Naval Adviser. He has also served as the Staff Officer to Chief of the Naval Staff. He is a graduate of the Defence Services Staff College, Wellington, Naval War College, Goa and the Australian Defence College, Canberra. Prior to his present appointment as Flag Officer Sea Training, he was the Commanding Officer of INS Circars. The Flag Officer is a recipient of the Nao Sena Medal.
