Swarnim Vijay Abhiyan Motorcycle Expedition Reaches Jaisalmer

Major General Ajeet Singh Gahlot, General Officer Commanding 12 Rapid 'Battle Axe' division of the Indian Army, flagged off the third leg of the Swarnim Vijay Abhiyan motorcycle expedition at Jaisalmer on 21 September 2021. The expedition team arrived at Jaisalmer after traversing through Goa, Maharashtra and Gujarat, and covering a total distance of 3,400 km. During third leg, the expedition team is scheduled to visit Sainik School, Kapurthala, units of the Indian Army and Indian Air Force, and other historic places of national importance enroute. Earlier, Shri Acharya Devvrat, Hon'ble Governor of Gujarat, hosted the motorcycle expedition team at Raj Bhavan, Gandhinagar. The riders also visited Sainik School at Balachadi, INS Valsura at Jamnagar, and the Maratha Light Infantry unit and BSF post at Munabao Indo Pak Border. The motorcycle expedition from Karwar to Delhi had commenced on 06 September 2021. Over 50 naval personnel are taking part in various legs of the 6,000 km expedition on 11 motorcycles and two support vehicles.
