World Environment Day at Naval Station Kolkata

INS Netaji Subhas and allied Units at Kolkata observed World Environment Day on 05 June 2021 to promote awareness on Preservation of the Environment and Ecosystem Restoration. In keeping with the theme of the day, a Tree Plantation Drive by Officers, Sailors, DSC Personnel, Defence Civilians and Families was undertaken at various locations in and around the Naval Base, Transmitting Station Bagjola and Naval Residential Areas. A Hindi Extempore Speech and Poetry Competition was also conducted for the Ship's Company on Environment related topics. All events witnessed spirited and whole-hearted participation. WOT (Kol) organised a Talk on Plastic Free Environment and SSB (Kol) also undertook a Tree Plantation Drive at Diamond Harbour.
