REGULATING DEPARTMENT

Introduction

The Regulating Department is tasked with the onerous responsibility of maintaining good order and Naval discipline in a Base with an approximate population of 5000 personnel comprising trainees, staff, defence civilians and contractual employees. Physical security of a perimeter spanning 15.2 km and ensuring foolproof access control at all entry/exit points of the Unit is an arduous task which the department fulfils with the help of DSC and private security personnel. It also maintains close liaison with Air Force Station, Tropo and local civil authorities such as Lonavla Municipal Corporation, Railway Police, Lonavla City Police, Lonavla Senior Citizen Forum, Amby valley etc.
