Passing Out of Basic Q Course Held at INS Hamla

A total of 346 trainees, including 48 Coast Guard Naviks, from the 01/2018 Batch passed out from INS Hamla on 19 Jan 2019. This marked the culmination of 18 weeks of basic training, which comprised service subjects, academic subjects, physical training including drill, route march, sailing expeditions, outdoor camps, weapon firing and swimming. Gaurav Chahar, SSR LOG(F&A), Vikram Pal, SSR LOG(MAT), Prem Kumar, SSR LOG(STD), Deepak Singh Sidar, NVK(DB) and Bavisetty Manikanta, MR LOG(SC) were adjudged as the best all round trainee in their respective categories for meritorious performance. Commodore IJS Matharu, Commanding Officer, INS Hamla awarded book prizes and trophies to the award winners at the passing out. He also awarded the Overall Champion trophy to Azad Division for excelling in various Inter Divisional competitions.
