Blood Donation Camp Conducted at INS Chilka, Odisha

Indian Naval Hospital Ship Nivarini organised a Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Blood Bank of Maharaja Krishna Chandra Gajapati Medical College, Berhampur on 19 June 2019 to commemorate ‘World Blood Donor Day’. The aim of the Camp was to spread awareness about blood donation amongst the station community and to allay fears and misperceptions of any adverse side-effects. The Camp witnessed participation of 101 volunteers from the station community, including families, wherein 89 units of blood was collected.
