Inauguration of Solar Photo Voltaic Power Project

A 613 KW Solar Photo Voltaic (SPV) Project was inaugurated at INS Garuda on 09 August 2019 by Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command. The SPV Cells of this grid-based system have been installed on rooftop of various office and accommodation spaces of the unit. The contemporary design of the solar panels ensures that the reflected glare of sun does not impair visibility during aircraft operation.
