Naval Armament Depot (Vizag) Conducted Medical Camp at Thikkavanipalem Village, Visakhapatnam

As part of Platinum Jubilee Celebrations, Naval Armament Depot, Visakhapatnam (NAD(V)) conducted a Medical Camp at Thikkavanipalem Village, Visakhapatnam on 08 September 2019. The Camp organised in association with KIMS-ICON Hospital, Raghvendra Eye Hospital and SS Dental, was inaugurated by Chief General Manager, NAD (V). About 200 personnel were examined by a Team of Doctors. In addition, ‘Helping Hand’, a Self Help Group of NAD (V) employees monetarily supported a widow with three differently abled children. NAD Visakhapatnam established in Aug 1944 is celebrating its Platinum Jubilee this year.  A series of activities have been planned as part of the celebrations, including a Technical Exposition on Naval Armament and Ammunition on 21 to 22 September 2019 at NAD Colony to create awareness among the public and further the cause of Make in India and a Technical Seminar on ‘Latest Trends on life cycle management of Naval Armament and Ammunition’ on 23 September 2019.
