Passing Out Parade of Naval Aviation Trainees Held at School for Naval Airmen, Kochi

222 Naval Aviation trainees, including 21 trainees from the Indian Coast Guard and 06 trainees from Friendly Foreign Countries (Bangladesh, Philippines, Sri Lanka and Mauritius), successfully completed the PO ‘Q’ (Aircraft Handler), PO ‘Q’ (Safety and Survival) and Basic ‘Q’ courses at School for Naval Airmen on 10 January 2020. The event marked the culmination of 12 weeks of theoretical and practical training in support of aviation operations. The course participants also visited Naval Air Station Garuda, Cochin International Airport Ltd. and ships of the Southern Naval Command for familiarisation on practical aspects related to aviation operations in the Navy. Kallisetti Sekhar, LA (AH) and Ramesh Kumar, LA (S&S) were adjudged first overall in PO ‘Q’ (Air Handler) and PO ‘Q’ (Safety & Survival) course respectively. Suraj A Gidde, SSR (AH), Vignesh MS, NVK(GD) and Sachin Tomar, NVK(GD) were adjudged first overall in the Basic ‘Q’ Air Handler, Safety & Survival and Photo courses respectively. Sidharth Rai, SSR (AH) was adjudged best SSR among all basic ‘Q’ courses. The Officer-in-Charge, SFNA awarded certificates and book prizes to the meritorious trainees at a Passing-Out Parade.
