How to Reach INA

By Train
The INA is well connected by rail links. The nearest railway station is Payyanur, a town located at a distance of approximately Six kilometers from the INA. A broad-gauge rail-line links Payyanur to Mumbai and a number of other major cities in Western, Central and Northern India via the Konkan Railway. All trains on the Konkan Railway route, except the ‘Delhi-Thiruvananthapuram Rajdhani Express’, the ‘Chandigarh-Thiruvananthapuram Sampark-Kranti Express’, the ‘Jodhpur-Thiruvananthapuram Jodhpur Express’, and, the ‘Jaipur- Ernakulam Jaipur Maru-Sagar Express’, halt at Payyanur. However, all these trains do stop at Kannur which is the nearest ‘major’ railway station located at a distance of approximately 35 km from INA. The broad-gauge rail network also links Payyanur to Chennai and other major cities in eastern India (via Chennai) and southern India (via Palakkad).
 

By Air
The nearest airport (Kannur International Airport; Station Code - CNN) is located at Mattannur, at a distance of approximately 60 km from INA. Air India and a number of private airlines operate services from Kannur. The other nearest international airports are located at Mangalore (Station Code - IXE),at a distance of approximately 135 km from INA , Calicut International Airport (Station Code - CCJ),at a distance of approximately 150 km from INA.
 

By Road
In terms of road connectivity, Payyanur town is situated along National Highway 17 between Mangalore and Kannur, thereby providing adequate road connectivity in both the northerly and the southerly directions. Adequate signage exists on the highway and on the streets of Payyanur, to lead a visitor to the INA.
