Op Neer-In Dec 2014, Generator supply power to distillation plants run by Male and Sewerage company (MWSC) was damaged due to fire. There was an urgent need to provide drinking water at Male. Maldives declared the water shortage as a 'National Crisis. Indian Naval ships Deepak and Sukanya were deployed to provide drinking water at Male.

Op Rahat-Yemen had been plunged into turmoil following the attack on the Houthi rebels. The political turmoil in Yemen led to country descending into civil war. Warring forces were engaged in widespread violence. Rebel Forces (Houthis) gained control of capital city Sanaa and intense fighting has been reported in vicinity of Aden and across the country. President Mr Abdrarabbul Mansour Hadi fled Yemen on 25 Mar 15 as rebel militia closed upon southern city Aden where he had taken refuge. To evacuate Indian nationals from Hodeidah and Aden, Indian Naval ships Mumbai, Tarkash and Sumitra were deployed.

Evacuation of Crew and Sinking of MV Coastal Pride-The Western Naval Command received information on 23 Jun 15 that MV Coastal Pride had reported total loss of propulsion off Mumbai. The vessel was carrying cement and had 14 crew onboard. CGCH 822 ex-Daman and SC 588 ex-Shikra were launched for evacuation of the crew once the vessel began capsizing. CGCH evacuated 6 personnel from the ship to Umargam beach (distance 8nm) in two trips. The remaining 8 crew abandoned the vessel in lifejackets and 2 liferafts were deployed. MV Coastal Pride thereafter sank 7.5nm from nearest land in a depth of 20 metres. The CGCH thereafter rescued 2 personnel from the water after which SC 588 rescued the remaining 6 crew, including the Master.

Search and Rescue Operations-20 crew members of MV Jindal Kamakshi were evacuated by Seaking helicopter between 0710h-0920h on 22 Jun 15 after the vessel began listing dangerously during heavy weather off Mumbai. The rescue operation was undertaken in extremely difficult condition by a Seaking 42 C helicopter.
