The 2nd Indian Navy – Russian Federation Navy Staff Talks was held at New Delhi from 28 to 30 June 2017. Rear Admiral Dhiren Vig, ACNS(FCI) co-chaired the Staff Talks along with Rear Admiral Vladimir Zemskov, Deputy Chief Russian Navy General Staff (Signals) from the Russian Federation Navy.

The salient discussed during the Staff Talks included Operational Interactions through ‘INDRA’ series of Exercises, Training Interactions, sharing of experience on Common Equipment, Cooperation in Hydrography, Oceanology and Meteorology and participation in Admiral’s Cup etc. The Russian Federation Navy delegation also called on Vice Admiral G Ashok Kumar, AVSM, VSM, Deputy Chief of the Naval Staff (DCNS) on 30 June 2017 and discussed issues of mutual interest.
