Indian Navy Delivers Relief Material to Bangladesh

INS Airavat, a Landing Ship Tank (Large) of the Indian Navy handed over 370 tonnes of relief material to Mr Mofazzal Hossain Chowdhury Maya, Bir Bikram, Minister of Disaster Management and Relief, Bangladesh at Chittagong harbour on 09 May 2018 in presence of Mr Harsh Vardhan Shringla, High Commissioner of India to Bangladesh. The ship was extended a warm welcome by Bangladesh Navy Ship Atondro at the approaches to Chittagong harbour. The relief material includes food material, gum boots and raincoats and is expected to cater for over 50,000 personnel.
