Naval Technical Attachment Camp held at INS Valsura

A Naval Technical Attachment Camp was conducted by INS Valsura from 27 Jun to 08 July 2018 for two NCC contingents comprising 50 boy and 25 girl cadets, from various Engineering Colleges of Tamil Nadu. The aim of the camp was to acquaint the cadets with the ethos, training and traditions of the Indian Navy and appraise them with latest trends in Naval Technology in Electrical and Marine Engineering. The camp provided an opportunity for the young cadets to see ‘Men and Women in White’ at close quarters. A movie on the Indian Navy was screened for the cadets, which was followed by a presentation on ‘Career Opportunities in Indian Navy’ as part of the introductory phase. The cadets were put through a structured routine comprising myriad of training activities such as small arms firing, watermanship training, parade, sports, swimming and visits to technical schools at INS Valsura. The attachment culminated with a camp fire followed by a cultural evening and Bara Khana with Team Valsura.
