Camp ‘JAGRAT’ Conducted at INS Chilka for Batch 01/2019

Camp ‘Jagrat’ for trainees of Batch 01/2019 of INS Chilka was conducted from 20 to 25 May 2019 at Solapokhari camp site. 2,600 trainees from all ten Divisions participated in the camp, which aimed to develop esprit-de-corps, camaraderie, leadership, physical endurance and mental strength under challenging conditions and situations, as well as to inculcate the Indian Navy’s Core Values of Duty, Honour and Courage. The camp was divided into six phases, each comprising various competitions such as Endurance Runs, Obstacle Clearance, Seamanship Drills and Evolutions, Land Combat, Tug-of-War, Tent Pitching, Fireman Lift and Josh Runs. The camp concluded with a cultural programme and camp fire on 25 May 2019. Commanding Officer, INS Chilka presented awards to winners of various activities held during the Camp. Azad Division emerged as the winner of Camp ‘Jagrat’ of 01/2019 Batch.
