Passing Out of PO ‘Q’ Met Course Held at School of Naval Oceanology And Meteorology, Kochi

A batch of 15 trainees, comprising 14 from the Indian Navy and one from the Indian Coast Guard, successfully completed the PO ‘Q’ Met course on 03 Janury 2020. Commander Sandupal Dutta, Director, INMAC gave away certificates and prizes to meritorious sailors during the Valedictory Function held at SNOM. The event marked the culmination of 14 weeks of intensive training that comprised both theoretical and practical training on various meteorological subjects.

Purushottam Kumar, LA (Met) and Abani Shankar Behera, LA (Met) were adjudged first and second in academics respectively, while Ram Narayan Siyag, LA (Met) was adjudged as ‘Best All Round Trainee’ in PO ‘Q’ Met course.

The trainees will now proceed to various Naval Air Stations where they would be employed in meteorological duties.
