Passing Out Parade Ceremony Held at INS Chilka for Batch 02/2019

2,983 trainees  of the Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard of batch 02/2019 graduated from INS Chilka at a Passing Out Parade held on 11 January 2020. The Parade was reviewed by Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, SNC and marked the culmination of 21 weeks of basic training. The C-in-C also awarded medals and trophies to meritorious trainees on the occasion. Parvez Alam, Senior Secondary Recruit (SSR), Captain, Matric Recruit (MR) from the Indian Navy and J Eswara Rao, Navik (General Duty), Neelesh Patil Navik (Domestic Branch) from Indian Coast Guard were adjudged the Best Trainees in their respective categories. The POP was attended by parents and guardians of the trainees. As part of the passing out activities, a valedictory function was conducted on 10 January 2020, wherein trainees put up a cultural programme that showcased their talent. The C-in-C alongwith President NWWA, SR attended the valedictory function and also released the winter edition of 'Ankur' the bilingual magazine of INS Chilka.
