DSRV visit During MILAN 22

As part of the multilateral maritime exercise MILAN 22, Submarine rescue capability of the Indian Navy was demonstrated at ENC. Indian Navy acquired this capability in 2018 when two DSRV rescue systems, one each for West and East coast, were procured. The event was attended by delegates from participating Friendly Foreign Countries. The interaction included a lecture-demo at the DSRV complex, where the system is stowed in a ‘ready to fly’ configuration, extensive interaction and walk around of the complex, which is one of the largest DSRV storage and maintenance facilities in Asia. This was followed by live operation of the submarine rescue vehicle and remotely operated vehicle from the mothership SCI Sabarmati at Hindustan Shipyard Limited.
