Hindi Fortnight was celebrated at SNC

Hindi Fortnight was celebrated at SNC from 15 -29 Sept 2023 with a view to encourage Hindi in official work. During the fortnight, various competitions were conducted for both Hindi speaking and non Hindi speaking categories such as Hindi Essay writing, Hindi Noting And Drafting, Poster making, Picture interpretation, paragraph writing and memory test. The events witnessed enthusiastic participation from both Naval and Defence Civilian personnel at Kochi. The closing ceremony of Hindi Fortnight was held at Naval Base, Kochi on 06 Oct 2023. Surg RAdm Dilip Raghavan, CMO graced the event as Chief Guest. Prize winners of Hindi competitions were awarded certificates and cash during the ceremony. The eighteenth e-edition of 'Dakshini Vani', in-house Hindi Journal was also released. Speaking on the event, Chief Guest appreciated the efforts undertaken towards implementation of GoI's official language policies and encouraged usage of Hindi in official work. Hindi fortnight celebrations were also held at other outstation SNC units at Ezhimala, Chilka, Lonavla, Coimbatore, Goa, Jamnagar and Mumbai.
