Kannur District Rifle Shooting Championship, Kerala

Kannur District Shooting Championship was held at Kannur District sports council shooting range on 03 August 2019. The Chief Guest for the event, Shri Prateesh Kumar, District Police chief and SP, inaugurated the championship. A total of 19 personnel from the Indian naval academy participated in the event and were led by Sudhir K Singh, CPO (GW), Shooting Coach.

The team brought laurels to the Indian Navy and Indian Naval Academy by winning a total of 30 medals which included seven gold, eight silver, seven Bronze in individual performances and a total of eight Team Gold medals. The team also qualified to participate in the Kerala state Shooting Championship scheduled to be conducted from 09 to 11 August 2019 at Idduki.
