An online workshop on 'Al for Leadership' was organised by Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence and Big Data Analytics at INS Valsura, Jamnagar on 23 March 2024. The key note address was delivered by Vice Admiral V Srinivas, AVSM, NM, FOCINC, SNC. In his keynote address, he highlighted various initiatives undertaken by Indian Navy in this niche field and stressed on its importance and applications in varied domains. The workshop witnessed insightful talks by Prof Parag Singla, Head of School of Artificial Intelligence, IIT Delhi, Dr Manish Gupta, Director, Google Research India, CDR LR Prakash (Retd), Senior Director, M/s CDAC Chennai and Mr Laxminarasimhaiah, Scientist F, CAIR, DRDO. Indian Navy Incubation Centre for Artificial Intelligence (INICAI) and INS Valsura touched upon various Al projects being steered by Indian Navy. The workshop was attended by over 170 online participants, which included Flag Officers, Senior Officers and Heads of Directorates and Divisions of various Headquarters of Navy. The closing address was delivered by Cmde AP Kumar, Commanding Officer INS Valsura.
