Western Region Quality Assurance - Industry Conclave 2020 Conducted at Mumbai

The Western Region Quality Assurance - Industry Meet 2020 was inaugurated by Rear Admiral A George, ADGQA (Warship Projects)/ DGQA at Indian Register of Shipping Powai, Mumbai. The theme for the conclave was “Quality Assurance Opportunities & Challenges for “Make in India”.

Inaugurating the conclave, the Flag Officer in his address brought out the importance of Quality Assurance in the rapidly changing Defence manufacturing environment. Mr JD Patil, Director and Senior Executive VP (Defence and Smart Technologies) of M/s L&T, Mumbai was the Guest of honour.

The Conclave was attended by reps of 101 Industries, various Naval Organisations and Academia. During the Conclave, presentations were made by reps of Navy as well as industry to promote “Make in India” in Defence and to chart the course for DGQA as an enabler in implementation of the GoI initiatives towards enhanced indigenous Defence production.
