World Environment Day 2023 – Station Karanja

To commemorate World Environment Day, Naval Station Karanja organized several activities with goal of reducing carbon emissions. Over 200 personnel from various units at Naval Station Karanja, including women and children, participated in 15 Km Cyclothon. In collaboration with Forest Department, saplings including Mangroves, were planted at station. Further, in line with theme Beat Plastic Pollution, residents of Station took lead in cleaning up about two tons of plastic waste from Karanja coast. Additionally, an e-Art poster making competition was held to raise awareness about environmental issues among people of all age groups.
