World Health Day - Cancer Awareness Programme

A cancer awareness event in line with World Health Day's theme of 'My Health, My Right' was organised by INHS Sanjivani at Sagarika auditorium, Naval Base,Kochi on 08 April 2024. Distinguished doctors from Amrita Hospital, Dr. Rakesh M and Dr. Priya Bhati,delivered talks on the subjects of "Empowering Communities in Understanding Cancer Screening and Awareness" and "Every Woman Counts towards Gynec Cancer Awareness Outreach" respectively. The event was aimed to educate and empower personnel on their right to quality healthcare. As part of the programme, a mime performance and cancer awareness quiz was also held with active participation of audience. The speakers were felicitated by Rear Admiral Upal Kundu, Chief of Staff COS, Southern Naval Command SNC and Surgeon Rear Admiral Dilip Raghavan, Command Medical Officer CMO. IndianNavy remains steadfast in its commitment towards enhancing community healthcare and awareness.
