Passing Out Parade Held for LDG ‘Q’ {AH, (S&S) & Photo} Courses - SFNA

A total of 87 trainees, including seven from Coast Guard, successfully completed their Leading ‘Q’ AH (Air Handler), S&S (Safety and Survival) & PH (Photo) courses and passed out from the School for Naval Airmen (SFNA) on 05 Oct 18 at an impressive Passing Out Parade. The event marked the culmination of 14 weeks of intensive training that comprised both theoretical and practical training on various equipment. The Passing Out Parade was reviewed by Capt Arupananda Ghosh, Officer-in-Charge, SFNA.

Konisetty Harish, NA I (AH) and Tapan Kumar Maharana, NA I (AH), Praveen Singh, NA I (S&S) and Rahul Kaluse, NA I (S&S), and Amit Kumar Chaudhary, NVK(AP) and Dinesh Kumar, NA I (PH) were adjudged first and second in Leading ‘Q’ AH, S&S and PH courses respectively.

The School for Naval Airmen is a premier aeronautical training establishment of the Indian Navy and recognised as a ‘Centre of Excellence for Aviation Studies and Airport Management’. It conducts professional course for Air Handlers, Safety & Survival sailors, Aviation Vehicle Operators, Photo sailors and Flight Divers.    

The trainees will now proceed to various Naval Air Stations/ Air Squadrons for On Job Training, on completion of which, they would be employed in Air Traffic Control duties, Aircraft Crash and Salvage team, Rescue and Fire Fighting services, maintenance and servicing of aircraft Safety and Survival equipment and Accident/ Incident and Event photography.
