7th Navy-to-Navy Staff Talks Between Indian Navy and Myanmar Navy held at New Delhi

The 7th Navy to Navy Staff Talks between the Myanmar Navy (MN) and the Indian Navy (IN) were held from 10-12 Oct 18 at New Delhi. The talks were co-chaired by Rear Admiral Atul Anand, Assistant Chief of Naval Staff (Foreign Cooperation and Intelligence) from Indian Navy and Commodore Kyaw Shwe Tun, Commander, Panmawady Naval Region Command from the Myanmar Navy. Commodore Kyaw Shwe Tun called on V Adm G Ashok Kumar, Deputy Chief of Naval Staff.

During the Staff Talks, several issues related to naval operations, including conduct of Coordinated Patrol, Maritime Exercise and matters related to cooperation in training, Hydrography and Indian Ocean Naval Symposium were discussed. The Myanmar Navy delegation also visited IMAC, Gurugram and were given an overview of the Indian Coastal Surveillance System.
