Indra Navy Exercise – Sea Phase Commences in Bay of Bengal

The Sea Phase of the ongoing INDRA Navy Bilateral Exercise between Russian Federation Navy (RuFN) and Indian Navy commenced in the Bay of Bengal on 13 December 2018. RuFN Ships Varyag, Admiral Panteleyev and Boris Butoma under command of Rear Admiral Mikhailov Edward Evgenievich Deputy Chief of the HQ of Submarine Forces, Pacific Fleet and IN Ships Ranvir, Satpura, Kadmatt, Kuthar, Khanjar and Jyoti under command of Rear Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, FOCEF sailed out from Visakhapatnam harbour to participate in joint exercises at sea, which include Anti-Submarine Warfare, Air Defence Drills, Surface Firings, Visit Board Search and Seizure operations and tactical procedures.
