Educational Awareness Beach Cleanup Drive Held at Viskhapatnam

An educational awareness Beach Cleanup Drive was conducted by naval personnel and families at RK Beach, Visakhapatnam on 07 September 2019 as a runup to International Coastal Cleanup Day. During the event, students from Navy Children School performed Street Plays themed 'Say no to Plastic'. The aim of the event was to create awareness amongst general public for maintaining clean and plastic free beaches and water bodies. Over 200 personnel and families from SBC(V), INS Vishwakarma and NCB(V) together with volunteers from other units participated in the event. The initiative of the Indian Navy received good response and public on site joined the cleanup drive.
